Elbow

profiles

In no way arse, but you must be all too aware of that by now. Quiet year on the Elbow front, what with them only following up last year's majestic 'Asleep In The Back' album with, er, 'Asleep In The Back', but assorted festival appearances await to give them a break from trying to rewrite Guy's stolen notebook and, as past experience has shown, damn, they give good festival. Not much on the cards in the way of frantic moshing, but since the 'Bow are the most captivatingly fragile of the class of 2000 there'll be plenty in the way of tender guitar loveliness, unlikely pianos, and the sound of hearts breaking all through the tent as the great Garvey lungs liquidise all before them. Possibly not to be seen if you're having a mid-festival trauma but, otherwise, we can't recommend them highly enough.
